Millpledge is pleased to be able to offer our new presentation “ Fluid Therapy- The essential guide for veterinary professionals”. This presentation is based upon our fluid therapy book and offers insights into when and how to implement fluid therapy in patients.
During the talks, we will cover the following areas:
- How fluid is distributed in the healthy patient.
- What conditions may affect a fluid imbalance and how we can assess this.
- The different routes of administration of fluid.
- How to calculate the fluid requirements and rates of infusion.
- How to monitor and assess your patients to ensure the fluid therapy has the desired outcome.
Colleges
These sessions are available to all colleges teaching veterinary nurse students of all levels and are presented remotely via booked session on Microsoft teams. As we are presenting the talks remotely, there is no limit to the number of attendees and the session can be recorded and sent to you afterwards. The talks are free of charge and are approximately an hour long. You will also have the opportunity for Q and A, both during and after the presentation.

For individual practices or students we have a pre recorded webinar available for you to access in your own time, at your convenience. Whilst the presentation is aimed towards the SVN, all staff are more than welcome to apply for the webinar link. The pre-recorded link will be available later in 2024.
