Job Description

An opportunity has arisen, for a successful candidate to join a global medical device and pharmaceutical veterinary distributor. With around 150 staff worldwide and a department of 5 full time and consultant staff, this is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance professional to join our team.

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Assistant Manager, this role will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of our Quality Management System.

We are looking for an enthusiastic quality assurance professional, to oversee compliance for our veterinary consumables range, to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. The successful candidate will join a proactive team of Quality assurance subject matter experts.

Quality Assurance Assistant duties include (although not exhaustive):

  • Maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Maintaining oversight of the veterinary consumable’s products range for regulatory compliance
  • Assisting in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the QMS both in the UK and global subsidiaries
  • Carrying out both internal and external audits in conjunction with the QA team (International and UK based)
  • To support the Quality team to deliver on KPI's as agreed with Senior Management
  • Review and approval of controlled documents, including document reviews
  • NC, CAPAs, Change Controls, Risk Assessments, Deviation reporting
  • Meeting regulatory bodies at inspection, preparation of documents for review
  • Completion & maintenance of supplier qualification documentation
  • Assisting with regulatory research for new markets
  • Participating in ISO 9001:2015 audits
  • Investigation and resolution of customer complaints
  • Updating technical product information
  • Carrying out basic product testing (training will be given)
  • Maintaining product testing procedures, liaising with Product Development as required
  • Prepare information for management review meetings, prepare paperwork for attendees, take minutes, and publish minutes.
  • Maintenance of regulatory licences, Patents and Trademarks.
  • Assisting in product recalls if required
  • Assisting with a project, to achieve ISO 9001:2015 internationally across all Millpledge sites

We are interested in speaking with candidates with the following skill set:

  • High level of organisation skills Punctual (essential)
  • 1 year experience working within a Quality Assurance role (essential)
  • Strong familiarity and competence with the ISO 9001:2015 standard (essential)
  • Proficient in all Microsoft packages (word, excel etc) (essential)
  • Proficient in Q-Pulse software (desirable; but not essential)
  • Proficient in establishing new standard operating procedures (essential)
  • Experience within the investigation of quality complaints (essential)
  • Trained internal auditor (desirable; but not essential – Millpledge shall provide external training for the right candidate)
  • We are looking for candidates that may be interested in occasionally working internationally to support projects (with reasonable notice)
  • We are looking for candidates that would like to work within a busy role, with a friendly Quality team
  • The working hours are 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday. Some flexibility may be occasionally required. The location of work is Clarborough, Nottinghamshire. Candidates must be able to commute to that location. Please note that we are operating a phased return to the office following Covid-19 for our staff. There is a requirement to work from home occasionally.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
